About Us
Flower & Fly is a family-run farmstand rooted in TaTa Creek, BC. Founded by Krista and built in partnership with her fiancé, Lucas, the stand has grown alongside their family — including the arrival of their first baby — into a warm, community-centred space that celebrates quality, simplicity, and the beauty of local living.
Together, Krista and Lucas shape Flower & Fly. Krista brings her background in baking and cooking, while Lucas leads the operational side of the farmstand, especially livestock management. Flower & Fly stands because of their shared strengths, aligned values, and commitment to building something meaningful as a family.
The name Flower & Fly reflects the balance of the feminine and masculine — the softness and strength each of us carries. It represents an appreciation of nature, a commitment to living authentically, and the belief that all people should feel welcome, seen, and connected. To Flower and to Fly is to honour both groundedness and growth, to embrace togetherness, and to step outside the limitations of any one box.
What began as a small shed has evolved into a family endeavour. Grampa Donnie’s handcrafted charcuterie boards line the shelves, alongside their family’s longhorn beef, fresh farm eggs, and hand-picked lavender. Krista’s handcrafted goods — beginning with artisan bread made from organic, locally milled flours and expanding into new recipes — reflect a dedication to thoughtful food.
Flower & Fly operates Wednesday through Saturday from 12–5:30 PM, intentionally keeping limited hours to balance family life with crafting quality goods and continuing to experiment and grow their offerings for the community.
The stand reflects the heart of micro-farming and handcrafted food: thoughtful production and the belief that local truly matter.
